SILVER SCHNOK – 10.45am LYON PARILLY (FRA)

1 Pt E/W at 17/2 with William Hill (generally available at 8/1)

Just like yesterday at the time of writing the going is described as Soft so we hope that it stays that way as at Longchamp the ground changed from Soft to Good by the time racing started. When studying for horses that should appreciate soft ground and with it being summer it is important bettors keep an eye on the going. This looks a competitive race with a couple in the field making their turf debut after running on the all-weather and a couple of the less fancied runners who will appreciate some cut in the ground and that includes our selection. This C&Y Lerner trained 3 year old filly is making her seasonal debut after a break of 197 days. She won over course and distance on debut on soft ground before finishing her campaign after a second start when runner up beaten 3L by Private Romance on heavy ground in the 21K La Masseliere Stakes over 9F at Longchamp. With just the two runs she is unexposed and is worth chancing as she is fit and ready to roll. Decent E/W Claims.

PAROUSIA – 11.15am LYON PARILLY (FRA)

1 Pt E/W at 10/1 with Paddy Power (Paying 4 places)

Tough looking handicap with a few in the field that look to have decent chances including La Fibre and Synchron but the one that catches the eye is the H A Pantall trained 4 year old filly Parousia who is another making her seasonal debut. She won her maiden at the 7th attempt at Longchamp over a mile (Heavy) and then flopped in a Listed event on her final start. This is no l=Listed event and on paper looks a weaker race than that of her maiden win. We of course are taking fitness on trust but if ready for this not hard to win race she could run well at decent odds.
