DAMUT I’M OUT- 8.50pm SOUTHWELL

0.5POINTS EACH WAY BET ADVISED AT THE 12/1 AVAILABLE WITH SKYBET

I put the 11 year old Damut I’m Out up last week but he was pulled out because of significant rain, but he was well supported in to second favourite.

He was sent off a whopping 40/1 on his seasonal debut, suggesting that the run was needed, but he travelled as well as anything (3.25 IR) but for weakening late on.

He is over half a furlong shorter here, which may prove sharp over hurdles, but at least he won at this trip last season over fences.

He’s now only 4lb higher than his cosy win here back in September, where the 2nd (now 17lb higher) , 3rd (19lb higher), & 4th (10lb higher) have all won multiple times, and I really do believe in horses for courses.

The stable seemed to be in a bit of a lull last season, but are at double their SR this season. Moreover, quite a few of the winners improved a ton if having their first run in late May, or early June (Kabrit & Mix Of Clover), with the selection having his first run before the pair, you hope to see large gains in his fitness, and I think he has more chance than winning last week given he is 2 from 2 over these fixed hurdles, and down in grade too.
