This 9 year old has put in three really solid looking runs, and although we don’t know exactly where he was going to finish last time, I think there was a good chance it would have been second behind the ill fated Clearly Capable, who I believe was far ahead of his mark. Ayr Of Elegance was behind, and that won easily next time.
I think the 20f really helped the horse travel that bit kinder, although he’s been travelling fine over shorter, it’s just that he’s been given far too much to do. The claimer can now take 5lb off, and I think he has an outstanding chance of winning, unless one of the handicap debutantes is well in, which can always happen.
You could go each way at the price, as I would be really disappointed if three horses were better.
