This race is big on numbers, but almost half of the field are out of the handicap given they are of such limited ability. The selection isn’t exactly the most gifted horse in the world, but you can rely on him to run his race here, where his form figures read 13225. That 5th being his last run, where the 6f on good to firm ground was far too sharp.
His last two efforts over this CD saw him finish second, both off 72 (2nd in a 0-70 this time last year), but he’ll effectively be running off just 50 with the claim (Jock is 2 from 4 these past few days), some 9lb lower than his latest 3l defeat, and he no doubt could have finished closer but for being hampered too.
Inner Circle & Raffles Rebel are the obvious dangers, but are priced accordingly, so at the prices it’s not a hard decision to give this one a go.
