GET AN OSCAR – 5.50pm WORCESTER

1 POINT WIN BET ADVISED AT THE 7/1 AVAILABLE WITH WILLIAM HILL

This 7 year old mare went close a few times off 96 last season, and although appearing inconsistent, I think that has more to do with the yard having some sort of virus (4 winners from 188 runners between Sep 2019-2020).

Since April of this year though, I don’t think there has been a yard in better form. With 5 from 18 in April (28%), 9 from 29 in May (31%), & 9 from 33 for June (27%). Clearly the yard have turned the corner, and have found plenty of well handicapped horses on their hands, and although they are starting to reach the limit with what’s been running, close attention should be paid to those we haven’t seen much of.

The selection ran an incredible second on her debut late in May, under pressure a long way out, hard to know if it was fitness, but I think it was more to do with not travelling as well without any headgear on. This saw her being sent off at 5/4f in quite a hot handicap chase, but she fell at the first.

They’ve put pieces back on, which I think is a massive thing, and she’s back over hurdles. She’s run two good seconds off 100 at this course over the unique fixed hurdles, and off just 93 she has got a lot going for her. More so with all the rain about today, as most of the main protagonist look to be good ground horses, but she certainly enjoys some cut just to slow the others down a bit.
