The ground has very much changed in favour of German import Alounak who runs for the in form Andrew Balding yard (Last 14 days: 12-55, 22%) with Silvestre De Souza in the saddle. None of his rivals really wanted rain but it is ideal for the selection who finished an excellent 2nd of 9 on Soft ground in the Group 2 Hardwicke Stakes at Ascot 20 days ago. He is race-fit with two runs in June while the current Favourite, Enbihaar, is coming back from a 278 day break with his Racing Manager saying recently “we hope we don’t get too much rain”. I have doubts about the rest of his rivals as well and think he is a very good bet at 3/1. Good luck!
