I thought Heart Of Soul ran a good race on seasonal debut here 22 days ago when he finished a running on 3.25 lengths 5th of 12, on today’s Good to Firm, over an unsuitably short 1m2f trip. He showed he handles the track, will strip fitter for the run, will be suited by today’s extra 2 furlongs, and is in receipt of weight from his main rivals. P J McDonald is a good booking and he looks a good each way bet as I can see him going close in this 8-runner race. Let’s hope we have no further non-runners declared. Good luck!
