TAFISH – 3.15pm HAYDOCK

EACH WAY BET ADVISED AT 8/1 AVAILABLE WITH BET365 & 888SPORT

At a €95,000 price-tag the well-bred Tafish was the most expensive purchase in this line up by some way. The selection left previous form behind looking impressive on his third start when winning a very good novice event comfortably by 2.5 lengths over 7f at Southwell on the All-Weather last October and the 2nd franked the form by beating 13 rivals three weeks later. The race was run in a fast time and the form looks very solid. He ran on strongly through the line that day so today’s mile looks ideal after not getting home on Heavy ground over 1m1f last time. The Richard Hughes yard has hit the ground running (Last 6 days: 3-15, 20%) while jockey Shane Kelly has had 3 winners from his last 10 mounts (3-10, 30%). He has been gelded over the Winter and early indications from the market are that Tafish is expected by connections to resume progress on his return after having excuses last time (the ground was very testing and he also raced alone). With further improvement likely this year he looks a good each way bet at an 8/1 that is highly unlikely to last. Good luck!
