SALIGO BAY – 3.35pm EPSOM
0.5 POINTS EACH WAY BET ADVISED THE 11/1 AVAILABLE WITH BET365 WHO ARE PAYING 4 PLACES
Hi guys, Saligo Bay has perked my interest in the 3.35 at Epsom tomorrow. He is currently 11/1 with BET365 and 9/1 generally. The advice is to bet him 0.5 points each way with BET365 for 4 places. Alternatively, Skybet are offering 9/1 but paying the first 5 home.
Saligo Bay has been contested over hurdles since 2021 but the 5 year old gelding looks interesting returning to the Flat running off only 1lb higher than when winning a Class 3 race at Newbury over this trip in July 2021. He then went on to finish 2nd next time out off a 4lb higher mark.
I like him here because he carries a nice low weight and will be fitter than most having had 6 runs over hurdles since October. The Gary Moore yard are in form (Last 14 days: 8-39, 21%) and he does well with the horses he sends to the track (7-40, 18%). Jason Watson knows the horse well and both trip & ground look ideal.
