GOUGANE BARRA – 4.00 DUNDALK

EACH WAY BET ADVISED AT 7/1 WITH BET365

I’m no expert on the Irish All-Weather guys but with us all taking withdrawal symptoms and no UK racing to bet on I thought I would try to find us a winner. The clues and information, just like with UK racing, are there to guide you towards the horses which are most likely to run well if you dig deep enough to find it. The 6 year old gelding Gougane Barra caught my attention in this race as he has been knocking at the door lately having only gone down by a length and 1.25 lengths in his last two races both of which were over 1m2.5f and he now steps back up to 1m4f for only the third time in his career. Now a 6 year old I think he may need the extra yardage and he is unexposed at the distance. Also, his yard have been amongst the winners recently, he has a good draw in stall 11, and jockey Ronan Whelan has been riding out of his skin lately (Last 14 days: 3-8, 38% SR). Each way advised at the price in this 13-runner handicap.
