WILLA – 4.15pm DONCASTER
EACH WAY BET ADVISED AT THE 8/1 AVAILABLE WITH ALL THE FOLLOWING BOOKMAKERS…
I think the Richard Hannon trained 3-year old filly Willa, who has plenty of Group winning form in her pedigree and cost 35,000 GNS as a yearling, looks weighted to go close in this if fully fit and raring to go on her seasonal debut. There are reasons to think a good run is on the cards with the yard’s horses generally in top form (Last 6 days: 11-44, 24% SR) and the first-time booking of Andrea Atzeni, who rides the track well (36-159, 23% SR), being a major positive which shows intent.
The selection finished off last season with a good running on 4th of 12 behind High Flying Bird (who franked the form when finishing 3rd for us at 12/1 six days ago) over 7f in this Class & Grade at Newmarket last October. Several other horses in the race have also ran well since giving the form a solid look. Willa shaped that day like today’s step back up to a mile on Good ground would be ideal with the extra yardage really suiting on pedigree. Her draw in stall 7 is fine and she could well have more to offer this year.
I’m hopeful she can go close and think she looks worth an each way bet at the price. This is my only tip today so good luck if you decide to have a bet!
