This is a very competitive 11-runner Class 2 handicap full of unexposed sorts many of which are from the top yards but, after doing an in-depth analysis of all the horses, Eastern World ticks the most boxes. He comfortably won by 2L here over this trip on the Rowley course 13 days ago eased in the last 50 yards with the in form William Buick (Last 14 days: 13-40, 33%) looking round him. The ground was quick enough for him (Good to Firm) and, though he will want further in time, today’s mile on official Good to Soft with drying conditions at the track looks ideal at this stage of his career. He is lightly-raced, has been progressive in all three starts with further improvement likely, is receiving weight (2lb & 4lb) from his two main rivals in the market, and Charlie Appleby who has his string in fine form (Last 14 days: 8-30, 27%) knows what it takes to win this race having done so with First Contact in 2018.
