This is also one of my “Favourites To Follow” but I’m keen on his chances so thought he was worth a write-up of his own. He is my Next Best (nb) because Sir Michael Stoute is happy to send this 3 year old colt, Galata Bridge, handicapping after just two runs. He shaped on seasonal debut at Newbury three weeks ago like he would stay this 1m4f trip when he finished a good running on 2nd of 9 over 1m2f. It was an improved performance on his sole run last year seemingly helped by a wind op and the application of a first-time tongue-tie. It looked a good race at the time and the 5th placed horse (who he beat by 6 lengths) and the horse who finished 7th (who he beat by 15 lengths) have both franked the form since by finishing 2nd & 1st on their next starts. Jim Crowley takes over in the saddle for the first-time, his yard are in “hot” form (Last 14 days: 7-26, 27%), and he has reportedly worked well on the gallops recently. I can see him going off Favourite and would advise getting on early as I think the current 15/8 is unlikely to last. Good luck!
