LINCOLN PARK – 3.20pm NEWCASTLE (AW)

EACH WAY ADVISED AT 12/1 WITH ALL THESE BOOKMAKERS PAYING 4 PLACES…

It’s great to be back tipping on UK horse racing and, while it will probably be difficult to make money initially, it’ll brighten up our day simply being able to watch some British racing again where hopefully we’ll also get a few pointers to which horses are likely to perform well over the coming weeks. It’s like the start of a new season where there is little recent form to go on and it usually takes a few weeks for the horses to let us know which ones are in form. So, my advice is to enjoy it but please don’t expect too much for the first few weeks and keep your stakes small until things settle down a bit and we have some form to work from.

This race looks very open and winnable with doubts about the two at the head of the market (Heath Charnock keeps getting beat and has been costly to follow while Tathmeen may well be suited by a smaller field than the 11 runners he encounters here). With that said, I quite like the look of the 12/1 for Lincoln Park with the likes of Ladbrokes, William Hill, and BETVICTOR paying the first 4 home. This is the 4 year old’s first start on the All-Weather but his trainer, Michael Appleby, does well with the horses he runs on it and knows how to ready one. The selection has shown he can run well fresh having previously won coming back from an 86-day break, has been gelded since his last run, drops from a Class 2 (0-105) in to a Class 4 (0-85), is back on his last winning mark (a Class 2 at Chester around this time last year), and has a decent draw in stall 6. He likes to go forward early so there is a good chance he will try to make all and may just have the ability to hold on. He looks well worth an each way bet at the price and can hopefully get us off to a profitable start. Good luck!
