LITTLE JO – 1.35pm NEWCASTLE (AW)

EACH WAY BET ADVISED AT 10/1 WITH BETVICTOR PAYING 4 PLACES

The bookmakers will be trying to make up for lost time and will want your custom so there are offers out there to be taken advantage of. This one from BETVICTOR looks good because as well as getting £30 in bonuses for placing a £5 bet they are the only bookmaker offering 10/1 for the selection while also paying the first 4 places home. In these early season races the insurance of extra places should definitely be taken where available.

There is an odds-on Favourite to beat in the form of Mutasaamy (4/5) but he hasn’t bee seen for 301 days and most of the short priced Favourites are probably worth taking on in these early season races as horses can change physically and improve quite a bit in 8 to 10 months. There are bound to be upsets so I personally will be laying everything under evens expecting to come out ahead after a couple of weeks. We’ll see!

Little Jo looks the one to be on at the prices being a dual C&D winner who likes it here and has dropped to 4lb below his last winning mark with his trainer, Brian Ellison, saying “We’ve got four on the card but Little Jo would be my best chance. He’s certainly got a squeak in an open handicap and is there with a good each-way chance.” The draw in stall 7 is fine, he has previously ran well after a 260 day break only going down by a head over C&D at the start of his 2018 season, Ben Robinson has won on him 3-times, and re-applied cheek-pieces could spark some improvement. I can see him going off shorter than the current 10/1 and he should have a decent chance of hitting the first 4 places or even better. Good luck!
