Hi guys, I would have preferred this to be an 8-runner race and to be tipping Ballyellis each way but with only 7 runners taking part I am advising a win bet at the current generous looking 9/1 available with BET365. If there is “value” to be had in the field it is his 9/1 as I can see him going off a fare bit shorter.
The selection is a course winner who has been running well in defeat in his last three runs and has dropped 5lb down the weights. Today’s jockey, Jordan Nailor, gets a good tune out of him having been on him for 4 of his 5 wins and he takes a useful further 3lb off his back. He gets in here off bottom-weight and I think current Favourite, Fix Sun (6/4), may struggle to give him 20lb weight.
I don’t think Ballyellis is nailed on to win as it is a competitive Class 2 race but he looks on a fair mark, he won’t mind the forecast rain having won on Soft a couple of times, a re-applied tongue-tie may help, he looks well-worth an interest at his current price, and hopefully he can get us a result.
