The 3 year old gelding Obtuse completed a 4-timer on the All-Weather back in January and has now dropped to 3lb lower than the last of those wins running off a mark of 67 in this.
He has course form as recent as March which would give him a chance in this as he finished 4 lengths 5th of 6 over 6f, in a higher Class, off a 10lb higher mark than today.He is a dual course winner, he has dropped 12lb down the weights since February, he is well-drawn in stall 2, he has Gina Mangan taking a useful 7lb off his back, he is race-fit, and he is better on the All-Weather than he is on turf (his best turf RPR is 67 while he has ran to RPR’S between 72-78 five-times on the All-Weather).
He looks a fair each way bet at the price in this 8-runner race. Good luck!
