VAXHOLM – 2.35pm WOLVERHAMPTON

0.5 POINTS EACH WAY BET ADVISED AT A GENERALLY AVAILABLE 14/1

Hi guys, the 2 year old gelding Vaxholm is no World-beater on what he has shown in 5 starts so far but he has improved in his last two and could progress again now stepped up to 8.5f for the first time on his first attempt on the All-Weather.

Vaxholm would have won at Beverley two starts back if he had had today’s extra furlong and he has been crying out for this trip in his last two runs. He is also a half-brother to 3 horses who have all won at Wolverhampton this year so there is cause for optimism he will take to the Tapeta surface at the first attempt. He has a hold-up style so expect him to be coming with his run late.

He receives a lot of weight from his main rivals at the head of the market, is well-drawn in stall 5, and Laura Coughlan takes a useful 5lb off his back.

The usual 0.5 points is advised each way in this 8-runner Class 6 handicap. Good luck!
