Hi guys, the eye is drawn to the first-time booking of Conor O’Farrell on the 6 year old mare and 100/1 shot Cimetta for the in form Gillian Boanas yard (Last 14 days: 2-6, 33%).
The selection ran well on her race debut in a bumper at Huntington last February when finishing 5th of 16 running to an RPR (Racing Post Rating) of 101 which compares quite well in this line-up and not only have the 4 horses who finished in front of her all won since but they have won six races between them. Cimetta hasn’t ran as well since but she is lightly-raced and related to several winners including being a half-sister to Vinetta who won over C&D on Soft and finished second over C&D on today’s Heavy Going.
Cimetta had a pipe-opener over C&D 47 days ago but ran poorly finishing 50 lengths 11th of 12 so please don’t get too excited about her. She will need to improve plenty to get involved here but if that run has blown away the cobwebs she may hit the places while the jockey booking is interesting and the form of the trainers runners over the past fortnight reads 613212.
Please keep your stakes small, bet her each way, and hopefully she will outrun her massive odds and give us a return. If not, then it won’t have cost us much to find out if she can improve. Good luck!
