TOP MAN – 4.10pm PLUMPTON

1 POINT WIN BET ADVISED AT A GENERALLY AVAILABLE 12/1…

The 7 year old gelding Top Man has been pretty disappointing since bolting up over fences off a mark of 117 last October, falling on his next two starts no doubt ruined his confidence, but his 4th at Kempton off 119 in a 0-140 is something most of these will never do.

He had a 63 day break after that run, where this time he unseated over hurdles, and he seemed to be on a recovery mission on his next 4 starts as he was held up in the rear but never threatening.

This has seen his mark drop down to just 102, the handicapper really has cut him some slack, and these types are always more interesting after a break (54 days), more so returned to a CD he’s won at too.

The selection may have just lost the plot, but he’s been at his best racing near the front, and we haven’t seen that for a while.
