MACHO PRIDE – 2.40pm RIPON

SMALL STAKES WIN BET ADVISED AT A GENERALLY AVAILABLE 10/1

The 3 year old gelding Macho Pride was one of trainer Ben Haslam’s more expensive purchases at E65,000 and he quickly started to pay some of that back by winning on debut last June. He then went on to be highly tried at Group 2 and Listed level running to an RPR between 81 to 84 three-times in defeat. He was gelded last September and has been dropped 8lb for performing poorly in two runs since including when 11th of 13 on today’s Good to Firm over today’s 5f trip at Thirsk last week. So, he is risky as he has been out of form but this looks weak, he is down in Class, and with the benefit of a pipe-opener running off a mark of 77 here he could go close if getting back on track.

He looks worth a small stakes punt at the price. Good luck!

P.S. Just a reminder that while I suggest bookies to bet with because they have the best price available or are offering to pay extra places in a race these are purely for your benefit and I receive absolutely nothing from them. I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY BOOKMAKERS!
