OLYMPUS – 4.35pm REDCAR

0.5 PT EACH WAY BET ADVISED AT A GENERALLY AVAILABLE 8/1

Hi guys, the 3 year old gelding Olympus showed ability in 3 starts over 1m-1m2f last season and makes his handicap debut today running off a workable looking mark of 67. He also steps up markedly in trip to 1m6f which could be a major plus as this is the same route his Dam followed (3 runs over 1m2f-1m4f before winning as 3 year old on her handicap debut over today’s C&D). So, the hope is he will take a step forward over the new trip at a track and distance his Dam won at. Other positives are, nothing else is being particularly well supported in the race, the Tim Easterby yard are in decent form (Last 14 days: 10-73, 14%), and the application of first-time blinkers could spark some improvement and help focus his mind on the job.

He is running against race-fit rivals on his return from a 194-day break so his fitness has to be taken on trust but, all things considered, he looks worth a small each way interest at the price. Good luck!

P.S. Just a reminder that while I suggest bookies to bet with because they have the best price available or are offering to pay extra places in a race these are purely for your benefit and I receive absolutely nothing from them. I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY BOOKMAKERS!
