LISRONAGH STONE – 1.15pm FAKENHAM

0.5 PTS EACH WAY BET ADVISED AT 50/1 AVAILABLE WITH THE FOLLOWING BOOKMAKERS…

The 7 year old gelding LISRONAGH STONE (50/1) was sent of Evens Favourite when he won a 3-mile Irish point to point on Good ground back in November 2018 and in six runs under Rules since he has been running on Soft or Heavy going over 2m – 2m4.5f trips and hasn’t shown too much.

He should be fitter here on his third start of the season, he has dropped 17lb down the weights since receiving his initial handicap mark back in March and, with the application of first-time cheek-pieces possibly sparking some improvement, stepping up to 2m7.5f for the first time since his pointing days, with the going officially Good to Soft as I write this at 3.47am and drying conditions at the track, he looks well worth an each way interest at the price. His best RPR of 102 gives him a chance at the weights if he could produce something near that level.

Please don’t get too carried away as he is an out of form 50/1 shot who may do nothing again but you can see there are common sense reasons to think a better run could be on the cards. Good luck!
