IRIS DANCER – 2.35pm RIPON

0.5 PT EACH WAY BET ADVISED AT THE 14/1 AVAILABLE WITH ALL THESE BOOKMAKERS PAYING 4 PLACES

The 3 year old filly Iris Dancer cost 27,000 GNS as a yearling and her best run came on her third start last year when with Ralph Beckett. That was on Soft ground off a 5lb higher mark than here when she was sent off 15/8 Favourite over this trip in a similar race at Windsor before finishing a running on half length 2nd of 8 where she achieved an RPR of 62. This is her third start this season so she will be approaching peak fitness and with it currently officially Good to Soft with persistent rain forecast in the area from now (10pm) right through until race time she may well get the Soft ground she wants having raced twice on Good since coming back from a 191-day break. I also think she will be well suited by the return to 6f after getting out-paced late on over 5f last time.

Considering she was sent off 15/8 Favourite in that race and she is 14/1 here it is possible she is well over-priced. Paddy Mathers takes the ride for the first-time and she could yet improve on just her fourth start for the R Mike Smith yard with conditions in her favour.

She looks worth an each way interest at the price in this 12-runner Class 6 handicap particularly with several bookies offering the insurance of paying an extra place in the race. You should definitely place your bet with one of them. Good luck!

P.S. Just a reminder that while I suggest bookies to bet with because they have the best price available or are offering to pay extra places in a race these are purely for your benefit and I receive absolutely nothing from them. I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY BOOKMAKERS!
