Stone Soldier is 1-1 here and that was over 7 furlongs in this Class off this mark three starts back. On that occasion, he got up late running on strongly through the line looking like today’s extra furlong may well suit better and bring about further improvement. He not only took to the Polytrack surface at his first attempt on it but seemed to be well-suited by the testing “Standard To Slow” going which he has again today and better drawn this time in stall 2 (stall 8 last time) he looks well-worth an interest at the 14/1 with SKYBET who for the third time this week are the only bookmaker I’m aware of who are paying an extra place on this race. 888SPORT and Bet Victor are also offering 14/1 as I write this but are only paying the first three home.
