The 9 year old gelding Putting Green looks worth an each way interest in this 13-runner race particularly with several bookmakers paying the first 4 home. Of those who are, William Hill are currently offering the best odds at 8/1 while SKYBET & Boylesports are only offering 13/2.
Putting Green is 2-2 over C&D off higher marks (5lb & 9lb) and he showed a return to form back in January with a decent 6.5 lengths 3rd of 14 over 3m1f at Plumpton on unsuitably Soft ground. He likely needed his recent return at Worcester and if that has put him right for this he looks weighted to go close with Tom Scudamore taking back over in the saddle and the ground coming in his favour (officially Good is ideal).
