I have decided to dutch both Sopat & Don Jaun Du Gouet.

First of all, this is an amateur race, and the skill between the jockeys is a lot bigger than a usual race. So I always prefer horses that are free going, and don’t need as much assistance behind the saddle.

Sopat fits this trend, and he just couldn’t get his own way in front last time, and wasted energy in behind the leader when swinging on the bridle 2f from home. Sam Lee looks great value for his 7lb in here, and he should go close if he’s allowed to stroll on.

Don Juan Du Gouet bolted up when last seen at this CD by 10l, and that was off 102. He’s run some terrible races since moving to the Twister yard, but his SPs have reflected that, and he showed much more when last seen back in April. He’s now running off 96, and Zac Baker is the most experienced amateur in here, so everything points to a good run.
