Hi guys, if there is any value to be had in this 7-runner race it has to be Dolos at 40/1 who has a record at Sandown reading 221712 including two C&D wins with Paddy Power & Betfair Sportsbook who are both paying the first 3 home in the race. William Hill are offering 50/1 as I write this but are only paying 2 places.
Dolos is a horse Paul Nicholls has found hard to place over the years as he has fallen just short of Grade 1 level and this is a Grade 1 race so he is admittedly an unlikely winner against the likes of Put The Kettle On and Altior who are proven Grade 1 winners. However, his liking for the track, the fact he has been kept fresh for this, his versatility on the ground, and the booking of this years Champion Jockey Harry Skelton are all in his favour so he looks a fair bet at the price to hit the places. Plus, Put The Kettle On has never raced at Sandown and there are concerns about Altior on the ground.
I will be happy if he hits the first three and a win isn’t out of the question if he runs up to his best and those at the head of the market under-perform. Good luck!
