ISKABEG LANE – 2.40pm HEXHAM
0.5 PTS EACH WAY BET ADVISED AT THE 12/1 AVAILABLE WITH WILLIAM HILL
The 10 year old gelding Iskabeg Lane has quickly dropped 18lb down the weights (since December) and, while out of form recently, he looks worth an each way interest in this 9-runner affair at the 12/1 currently available with William Hill.
The selection, who has been making his way back from a 504 day break, pulled up in his last two and has ran poorly in all 4 runs this season but they were all on unsuitably Soft or Heavy ground. He is now 18lb below his last winning mark and could go well back on a much sounder surface (currently Good to Soft with drying conditions at the track) with his two wins coming on Good and Good to Soft. He should be approaching peak fitness on his fifth start of the season (although he pulled up the last twice he did run for a long way in both races which will have helped his fitness), the Sue Smith yard have hit top form (Last 14 days: 3-7, 43%), and the first-time booking of the in form Ryan Mania (Last 14 days: 6-30, 20%) perhaps shows intent.
He obviously comes with risks attached and faces a couple of in form rivals here in Maasai Warrior and Casimir Du Clos but is undoubtedly well-handicapped so, if reproducing any of his 2019 form, won’t be far away. Good luck!

P.S. Just a reminder that while I suggest bookies to bet with because they have the best price available or are offering to pay extra places in a race these are purely for your benefit and I receive absolutely nothing from them. I AM NOT AFFILIATED WITH ANY BOOKMAKERS!
