The 5 year old gelding The Daley Express won easily over C&D off this mark the last time he was dropped in to this Class last September so looks worth chancing at the price returned here. He went on to run competitively off higher marks in higher Classes over C&D last November/December and a reproduction of any of those three runs would give him a chance today. There is risk attached because he made a quiet start to the season 23 days ago on turf in a higher Class race to today where he finished well down the field but the risk appears to be built in to his price and, provided he has derived benefit from that run, he looks weighted to be involved today. The eye-catching first-time booking of the in form P J McDonald (Last 14 days: 11-50, 22%) is also cause for optimism so he looks well worth an each way interest at that generous looking 18/1 with BET365. Let’s hope he gives us a good run for our money.
