SWOOPING EAGLE – 4.20 WINDSOR
SNOWBALL JACKSON – SAME RACE
BACK BOTH 0.5 PTS EACH WAY AT INDUSTRY BEST PRICES OF 9/2 & 8/1 WITH ALL THE FOLLOWING BOOKMAKERS…
I’ve spent a long time on this race and think it could lie between a couple of possible improvers after the race being decimated, due to the going, with 4 non-runners including a couple of the more fancied ones. The two I like are the Roger Varian trained Swooping Eagle (9/2) and Richard Hannon’s Snowball Jackson (8/1) who both ran well in three starts on the All-Weather back in November to January. They both have similar profiles having cost €60,000 & 45,000 GNS as yearlings with both having had three runs on the AW over the Winter. Snowball Jackson achieved a slightly higher RPR (71 v 67) but carries 2lb more. He is almost twice the price so looks one to be on. They are both well-drawn in stalls 10 & 11 and should have a pace to aim at with Alibaba at least one proven front runner and there maybe another one or two taking him on so a strongly run race looks guaranteed. I’ve watched many race replays studying how their and their rivals past form has worked out and by the end I simply couldn’t split these two. The form of their runs has worked out very well with Swooping Eagle’s looking a little stronger. So, the advice is to back them both in the hope the winner will come from one of them and show us a profit on the race. Good luck!
