SHADES OF BLUE – 1.50pm NEWMARKET

EACH WAY ADVISED AT 13/2 WITH BETFAIR SPORTSBOOK & PADDY POWER PAYING 4 PLACES

This looks very competitive as you would expect a 13-runner Group 3 race at Newmarket to be but I like the chances of the Clive Cox trained 4 year old filly Shades Of Blue. She was highly progressive last year, very consistent, and only went down by a neck over this trip in a Group 3 in France last September achieving a high RPR of 112. She has also reportedly done well over the Winter so will hopefully have trained on. She is versatile ground-wise so won’t mind what the weather does (there is rain forecast) and is well-drawn in stall 9 as there appeared to be a significant draw bias to those drawn high here on Thursday when the stalls were against the Stand Side as they are today. She ran well when fresh on her seasonal debut last year, Adam Kirby knows her well and has won on her, she receives 3lb from the boys, and she races prominently which is a major plus with races here over the past 2 days showing that is the place to be with very little getting in to it from behind. She has plenty of form in the book from last year to suggest she should go close so looks worth an each way bet at a best price 13/2 with 4 places on offer at Betfair Sportsbook. Good luck!
