Farmer Boy, who has quickly dropped 11lb down the weights for his last three runs and 15lb since last October, easily won over C&D by 4.5 lengths off this mark in a higher Class than today back in April 2019. Harry Reed takes a useful further 3lb off his back and he also drops down in to a Class 5 handicap for the first time today. He has been out of form in 6 starts for this yard since moving from Nigel Hawke last November so comes with risks attached but simply looks too well-handicapped to ignore and worth an each way interest at the price. He is still only 7 years old so should be coming to his peak rather than being past his best and, if he can bounce back to form returned here on better ground than he has encountered recently, you would think he could go close and hopefully at least hit the top 4 which would see us more than double our money at the advised 12/1.
