KANSAS CITY CHIEF
0.5 PTS EACH WAY BET AT ODDS OF 66/1 WITH BETFRED WHO ARE PAYING 6 PLACES
This one had to go out early guys as I can see the 66/1 for Kansas City Chief shortening overnight. He is still available at that price with at least 10 firms but only BETFRED (to the best of my knowledge) are paying 6 places. SKYBET are paying 7 places but are only offering 50/1. That might not be such bad offer to take in this typically highly competitive 23-runner Cheltenham Festival handicap.
Can the 12 year old Kansas City Chief win this? Probably not but it’s certainly not out of the question having finished 16.5 lengths 6th of 23 in the race last year off a 7lb higher mark and this year he has the assistance of the excellent Millie Wonnacott in the saddle who takes a useful further 5lb off. In any event, he looks well worth an each way interest at 66/1 with a £5 each way bet returning £71 if he manages to place in the first 6 home. It would return £55 if you take the 50/1 with SKYBET and he finishes in the first 7. Hopefully that makes sense guys. He looks well-handicapped, the Neil Mulholland yard are in form (Last 14 days: 5-29, 17%), and he will hopefully be fully-fit on his fifth start of the season. He is 12 but showed he retains ability back in October when finishing 3rd of 17 over C&D so he could go well in my humble opinion.
I may tip another in the race tomorrow. We’ll see. Good luck!
